Well I don't have tattoos because I'm too indecisive
and my dad brought me up to hate spending money
and I've got curly hair so a mohawk wouldn't work out
and I do wear band shirts, but it's not for bands you've heard of
I don't drink, I dont smoke, I don't rage against my parents
Because generally they seem to have a similar sort of world view
I'm not sure they'd agree because they wouldn't like the stigma
But they'll have to admit that maybe they are punk too
Because if punk is anti-racist and punk is anti fascist
Punk doesn't discriminate by your gender or your means
If punk can blame the system and it's players for the outcomes
Then I don't know anyone more of a punk than me
It's not a virtue signal to say I'm not a ----
You can ask all my friends and most of them agree
and I know punk won't judge on your circumstance or outcomes
but I'm happy to be judged on the company I keep
and I'll listen to anything at least once before I make informed decisions
about whether it's the right thing for me
and my music taste is varied and eclectic but it's mine
and I don't need anyone to tell me who to be
Because if punk is anti-racist and punk is anti fascist
Punk doesn't discriminate by your gender or your means
If punk can blame the system and it's players for the outcomes
Then I don't know anyone more of a punk than me

Well I don't have a platform, what I do have is these songs
If I can make one person stop and think can't be doing it all wrong
So I don't say this for money or for Facebook likes
if we're gonna save the planet we better get on our chuffing bikes
I'd apologise for swearing but the time has passed
for talking diplomatically about saving our own ass
because the polar caps are melting and the forests are on fire
and the scientists are telling us the stakes couldn't be higher
While we sit around and talk about targets we might meet
People's houses are on fire and theyre jumping in the sea
and the sea is getting warmer and there's acid in the rain
there's a decent chance we'll never see a polar bear again
and it's difficult to feel that it's not all doom and gloom
when the President is busy putting soldiers on the moon
And that I child should have the show him the way
Should be a source of constant shame
But there are some things that we can do
to try to help the planet make it through
We can buy less stuff and throw less away
and walk to work and have a vegan day
and boycott the companies who dump stuff in the sea
Because the only thing that they understand is money
and elect the leaders that we trust to make it right
and then tell them to GET ON THEIR CHUFFING BIKES!
and if we do all that then we might just see
the start of the next century
yeah if we do all that then we might just see
the start of the next century

Don't Forget (Live)
03:34
|
|||
I’m gonna carry on planning, I’ll plan my whole life
With a VIP spot for you right next to me
Take it on together, make it last forever, we’ll sure try
We’ll come out smiling in the end
Don’t forget
There’s always a place for you wherever I am
I’ll keep you in mind along the way
All this time and distance, no it will never stand between us
I wake up and fall asleep dreaming of you every day
Don’t forget
And I know it’s not easy when reminders are far behind
You’re losing track of everything that’s right
And I know there’s never been a better time to write a song for you
‘Cos when I write I’m reminded of all those little things you do
And it brings me home, back to home, with you
There’s always a place for you wherever I am
I’ll keep you in mind along the way
All this time and distance, no it will never stand between us
I wake up and fall asleep dreaming of you every day
Don’t forget
I know it’s not always easy and memories fade
With the passing of time
But I’ll do all that I can to keep our lives alive in you, make sure that you know
That you’re mine
There’s always a place for you wherever I am
I’ll keep you in mind along the way
All this time and distance, no it will never stand between us
I wake up and fall asleep dreaming of you every day
There’s always a place for you wherever I am
I’ll keep you in mind along the way
All this time and distance, no it will never stand between us
I wake up and fall asleep dreaming of you every day
Don’t forget

When I was a kid I was taught
not to believe everything that you read
or trust everything that you see
it's what was expected of me
it made me quite a cynical man
and I don't think that was part of the plan
but at least I know my values can stand
up to scrutiny
Now I have children of my own
The one thing I want them to know
The only thing you should do without question
Is question everything
It seems pretty obvious when you think
that a reporter who's paid by the inch
might feel like they have to print
what they're told to
but who makes the money from the sales
who takes no risks when it fails
and who never gets sent to jail
no matter what they do
If you find yourself watching the news
And you're not sure what is the truth
Maybe it's time for you to choose
To question everything
I don't expect them to grow up to think like me
and maybe have more faith in all humanity
but at least I hope they're able to see
the world for what it is
if we can raise our children to make up their own minds
then maybe when they're what's left behind
the world will be a little more kind
moving forward
And if they have children of their own
I hope that they want them to know
The only thing you should do without question
Is question everything

So you want to build a wall?
I'm here to tell you
it's a bad idea
so you want to start a war?
just to give the people
something to remember
Because every war is a civil war
Every life lost is a life too far
Every time you walk out the door
Yeah, you'll see what we're fighting for
Because there must be a better way
Than living like this day-to-day
Yeah, well that's why I'm here to say
Where's the border anyway?
so you want to burn a bridge?
I'm here to tell you
it's a bad idea
so you don't care what I think
you just plam me off
as a dreamer
but every time I've been called naive by you
just affirms all of my belief in the truth
do I have to remind you it's my world too?
I think I do
Because every war is a civil war
Every life lost is a life too far
Every time you walk out the door
Yeah, you'll see what we're fighting for
Because there must be a better way
Than living like this day-to-day
Yeah, well that's why I'm here to say
That every war is a civil war
Every life lost is a life too far
Every time you walk out the door
Yeah, you'll see what we're fighting for
Because there must be a better way
Than living like this day-to-day
Yeah, well that's why I'm here to say
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?
Where's the border anyway?

The Play-Doh Song (Live)
03:56
|
|||
Playdoh comes in many diffeent colours
in any colour you could ever dream
you can get it in orange or purple
or red, or blue, or yellow, or green
it always seems to end the same in our house
it's enough to make a Daddy frown
it turns a sort of greyish orange colour
but I guess that's better than it being brown
Because they don't really make brown playdoh
It's just something that they wouldn't do
Perhaps that's because brown playdoh
Might look a little bit like...
you can make some cool shapes from playdoh
like sausages or circles or squares
just make sure you tidy up after
or you could vatch somebody unawares
the other reason for no brown playdoh
is the fear that it instills in me
when I find a rogue, abandoned sausage
hiding underneath the seatee
Because they don't really make brown playdoh
There's never really been much call for it
Perhaps that's because brown playdoh
Might look a little bit like...
this is my song about playdoh
written for my friends and family
a silly little song about playdoh
but there's a moral to this story
don't ever trust brown playdoh
if you find any just leave it there
you should only move brown playdoh
if you find it hiding in your underwear
Because they don't really make brown playdoh
So I've got some advice to tell
If you should play with brown playdoh
It'll make your fingers smell
